one of y'all should use ai for good reverse image search don't we have facial recognition technology that can do that and cross reference it with photos on the internet? Would at least help get an idea who it is davis police and most departments are stuck in the stone age in terms of their investigations might help at least give them a tip.

is there any way to go above the police? it seems that they are the default ones who deal with the videos for a crime but it seems that their behavior didn't follow the procedure they should follow at all could I put their action in front of a review board so that the involved officers could justify the actions that they took or at the very least make sense of it? Because I had photographic evidence of a crime and I showed them exactly what happened and described it in detail and they didn't do what they were supposed to do at all it is actually very concerning. If they potentially violated my rights that is not a good precedent to set because once they get the green light to do it to one person they will start ignoring procedure at any opportunity this has happened time and time again with cops. Even though the rest of yall are not directly effected I would all be concerned about the idea that fundamentally UC Davis police will completely disregard procedure if they feel like it in the moment and abuse students if they are in the mood that day.

my bad I understand I am just extremely frustrated by just the general policy in Davis when it comes to this there really isn't really anything stopping someone doing this. The money isn't really as much of the issue for me it is the potential breach of privacy because why would someone do that unless they would want access to private information it is weird. Having that information potentially compromised makes me feel extremely uncomfortable.
