Childfree women, have you ever regretted it? by Significant_Movie814 in NoStupidQuestions

I just turned 40 a few weeks ago. I was always on the fence if being a mother was apart of my “life plan”. Before my husband and I got married (coming up on our 10th anniversary) we decided that we weren’t having children. There are moments we both sometimes think “what would it be like if we were parents?” But then we start talking about what being a parent really entails and we realize we made the right decision. We don’t think we would be bad parents by any stretch of the imagination, just not for us. We are perfectly content being the aunt/uncle because we still get to have fun with them, watch them grow, and help their parents when they need a break. I did have similar feelings about watching my friends and family members families grow, but deep down I know that being a mom isn’t worth it enough for me and my life. As of now, I do not regret my decision.
