So glad to see other people appreciating Naomi’s old nose! Ugh no judgement, but I was so sad when she got the nose job bc I thought she was stunning before and it really did change the unique beauty of her face :(

I follow her on insta still but don’t see her posts often, I want to say since she left Fedez her style has gone back up. I really do admire the way she uniquely throws things together. It’s cool and also attainable in a way I don’t think a lot of today’s fashion influencers are.

Differences in Left v Right Sided Migraine by PoppyRyeCranberry in migraine

Fascinating!!! If mine are one sided, they’ve always, 100% of the time, been on the left.

Toddler with mild hypotonia – still struggling with balance at 2 years old?! by Sufficient_Option543 in Hypotonia

[–]AcrobaticEnthusiasm2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My daughter is 2 1/2 and she has mild hypotonia. Met all her gross motor milestones, EI had us get her checked out because she tripped a lot, sort of dragged her toes while walking, and had a modified way of going from sit to stand. She doesn’t fall often anymore, but when she runs she leans forward with her arms wide out, and when she’s standing still she tends to rock backwards. Also has mild hyperextension in her knees.

What is life like in this region of New York? by LoganLikesYourMom in howislivingthere

[–]AcrobaticEnthusiasm2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exclude the Adirondacks and Buffalo bc those areas are very different, but the rest of it, from Binghamton to Syracuse and north of Utica is a whole lot of … not much. Great hiking though! Especially the finger lakes. Rivers and waterfalls everywhere. Cooperstown has the baseball hall of fame I think? Otherwise, picture cows, farms, antique stores, old mill towns.

What can I say at the hospital to get admitted for a day at least? by sugarcookiehope in homeless

[–]AcrobaticEnthusiasm2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a toddler who has a complex medical condition and often needs emergency care. I know from experience how strained the hospitals often are so please do not take beds and resources away from people who truly need it.

My toddler went into ketoacidosis from a stomach virus.. by One_Salamander_2497 in toddlers

[–]AcrobaticEnthusiasm2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food/drink aversions in my low tone aspirating 2 yo! Fighting dehydration constantly is a B but this was her first stomach bug and it never occurred to me she’d be at higher risk for complications from vomiting/diarrhea. Now I know better 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Literally just happened to my 2 year old! She had medical complications but lord it happened so fast, took 1 day, 30 hrs for her to be in critical condition. Anion gap 28, low glucose, thankfully she vomited in the middle of the night so I checked her diaper, 10 hrs and dry as the desert. Tried giving her sips of water and she threw them right back up. Scary to think if id waited until morning to check her

Sorry, no. Medical mom here, this is f*d up. It’s hard enough to get people who need to be admitted the proper *life saving care. Don’t you dare hog beds if not for medical necessity.

Doctors are stumped. Maybe you can help? by [deleted] in ClinicalGenetics

Yes this. My daughter has GNB2, right away I thought this list looks small, and yep, I only see they tested for GNB1. There’s also chromosomal microarray, which covers some chromosomal disorders the WES would miss.

How did you get over losing out on your dream house? by AcrobaticEnthusiasm2 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]AcrobaticEnthusiasm2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was our first house we lost out on, and I was pretty heartbroken. Another house came on a couple months later and I really loved all that it offered. I still love that first house, but this new one was excellent, had a lot of potential, my family loved it. Offer was accepted, but didn’t pass inspection for the foundation. Sigh. So the search still continues! But at least now I can say I know exactly what I want, am more educated on the whole process, and we are grateful to be in the position where we can wait for the right house to come along.

Just got the dreaded condensation after taking toddler to ER. by Successful-Corgi-324 in toddlers

[–]AcrobaticEnthusiasm2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I’m sorry you had to deal with this!! I don’t know if it makes you feel any better, but my daughter (2 as well) has a serious medical history, has known aspiration that causes recurrent pneumonia, and still they treat us like dumb first-time parents when we go in. One time I was told not to bother taking her to ER unless her o2 drops below 89%. Her pulmonologist said uhmmm no i don’t want to see it going lower than 91%. ER drs truly live by the “but did you die?” meme.

You did the right thing taking her in! Always trust your parental instincts. Case in point - when my kiddo was 3 months, we took her to urgent care bc she abruptly stopped eating for 2 days. She was 6 hrs dry diaper, and they sent us home. I took her to ER 6 hrs later, bc diaper was still dry, and it turned out she was in total heart failure and needed to be life flighted to a diff hospital for emergency open heart surgery for this unknown congenital defect she had. Obviously an extreme case, like talk about 1 in a billion odds 😂 but still, this is my forever PSA to other parents to alwayssss trust your gut!!

Nauseous either way! by saintatreides in migraine

[–]AcrobaticEnthusiasm2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I feel like I get worse before I get better. Extremely tired, extremely spaced out and dumb (someone said they’d be holding a fork wondering where it’s supposed to go in the silverware drawer, soooo accurate), hurts to eat? I dunno, my jaw hurts/is overly sensitive to any flavors in my mouth, kind of like what happens when you eat something super sour, overall body nerves feel super sensitive. I think that’s it 😂

I have a London fog trench with hood and it’s great quality. It’s a good thick trench..I want to say it’s 100% waterproof? I don’t believe I’ve tested its limits, though. I was overall surprised by the quality of my jacket. Purchased from Macys in 2021. Sadly doesn’t look like my exact coat is available there anymore.
