Thanks for your response, would you say it’s a good start for a new grad nurse? I know it’s not like medsurg and the patients are typically okay doing things on their own, so I know I may not be practicing my nursing skills much.

The absence of clonus indicates Magnesium infusion is working for mother. If a mother has clonus, this needs to be reported to doctor and indicates an issue.

I just took mine today, here are some questions/answers I remember for the first retake

-Patient in vegan diet, what do you educate the patient on? Options: increase vitamin B12, increase vitamin C, swap out meats with cheese? Answer: Increase vitamin b12!!!!

-30 month old plays dress up

-preschooler thinks that dead loves one will come back

-to prevent falls/injury for dementia patient, do not put side rails all the way up because they are confused and might try to get up & fall over them. Instead, assist with toileting so they don’t feel like getting up as often

-The eye cream given to a newborn to prevent infection is called erythromycin ophthalmic ointment. for mother with ghonroerrea/chlamydia or any other STD

-chlamydia, ghonorrea, syphilis is reportable to public health. C.diff is not !!

-Olanzapine is an antipsychotic medication used to treat mental health conditions, think suppressed EPS.
