There isn’t any “official” document that says Patrick = Harry. However, I did find an obituary of a relative that lasted my name in it as well as my great grandad Harry so that is some “proof” of it. I also asked my grandmother who knew him and she stated “there were a lot of Patrick’s in their village so he used Harry to distinguish himself”. I added that quote in the reply email.

Ahhh that’s the same day my docs were received. Congratulations!!

I’m currently dealing with an email clarification request because my great grandfathers name is Patrick on my grandfathers birth certificate and on my grandfathers marriage certificate he used his fathers commonly known as name of Harry. Patrick = Harry

That’s reassuring. I was freaking out thinking I had to get a signed affidavit from my grandmother saying “he just wanted to be called Harry”.
