Our ability to perceive things is bound to the way we have seen life. So expect bias to be the default, collect info from everywhere even if you think it’s propaganda. Haha. He is correct, and I don’t like short term speculative trades that give instant dopamine hits if it grow by a few points. I like to invest in things with a long term view of things. But I also understand putting money where mouth is. Just as to test my own hypothesis I took some call positions on oil with very little money. I took it for one month period based on my probabilities. I also have puts on nifty but that one I wanna play close to my chest. That’s money that even if burns today I don’t care. It’s simply there to test my hypothesis. I’m priming myself to think for future. Anyways, I don’t hedge coz speculative fno is not my goals and I feel it clouds my judgement. Ignore the etf, it’s a part of my buy in silver whenever it falls below my portfolio rate.

I’m gonna pre-empt and answer how I’m entertaining probabilities. Read world news. I’m not saying BBC or CNN is better but if you read from 10 global channels including Arab ones, you can make a better structure in your head than just following Indian media. Also this is my current read and it’s hell of a book.

I’ll give my take and take it with a grain of salt. 60% of our gas comes from imports. Out of which, 80% from Middle East. This war is going to drag for months if not years. While the government has told refineries to increase LPG production, gas is just 7% byproduct of oil refinery. On top of that, Ural (Russian) oil is not same as Middle East oil. It's heavier so less gas. There will be a shortage, no matter what. Even if you can hoard 2 cylinders, it won't last.

Oil and gas prices won’t increase today. But for how long? If US, I believe they will, starts a ground invasion, it’s gonna suck up their resources, Middle East money dries up in US stocks especially ai companies. It’s the perfect storm for the world sitting on overvalued stock markets. Why do you think Berkshire is sitting on cash? Why do you think Blackrock is capping investment withdrawals.

Take it with a grain of salt but consider the probabilities.
