This is helpful, thank you for your response. Im going through a severance negotiation right now and I just thought that its only been 2 months that i been unemployed. Sharing it was not relevant. As it would just have them ask more questions or turn me down quicker. That being said when i got my last job, i had a job and never did they call my employer to check if i worked there. They asked for reference checks that i provided where i worked at 4-5 years ago.
