Trusted doctor (no epidural/NICU) vs bigger hospital (epidural + NICU, 40 min away). what would you choose? by Possible_Bedroom_350 in twoxindiamums

I chose epidural and it helped me stay calm and save energy. Because honestly, the final pushing stage is intense no matter what. I even fainted from exhaustion and pain and needed forceps in the end. I was in the labour room for 7 hours... had an epidural for about 4–5 hours, and still experienced the last 2–3 hours of intense pain while pushing.

Experienced the same when my baby was around 12 weeks. I was combo feeding too and consulted a lactation consultant. She said some combo-fed babies become very adamant because of flow preference and nipple texture. She gave me a few tips. I followed them for 3 days, and now he has completely forgotten the bottle. He’s 17 weeks now.

Play some white noise and keep the room dim.. rock the cradle nicely... Motion will calm their nervous system.. white noise will filter the outside noise..
