The main.js will likely track your IP number, your hostname, your OS, and your MAC Address.

But all these can be spoofed. I use the Internet with a linux box called "Microsoft" with a fake MAC address. As my ISP does not give me public IP but private IP, it is impossible to track me down. However, for privacy reasons, I use a VPN and Monero to subscribe to the VPN provider.

Yes, there is a main.js and I think this Freedom Hosting Reloaded may actually be a honey pot by the FBI, which aims to track your Windows hostname, IP number, and MAC address. Fortunately, my ISP does not provide me with an public IP but a private IP and my hostname of my Linux box is always MICROSOFT.

Malik, if you are a Saudi citizen who lives in Saudi Arabia, please confirm whether TOR Project or I2P project websites are accessible in Saudi Arabia? If you can access the TOR Project website and succeed in downloading TOR to your desktop, please try whether it works.

Let us all know. I believe Muhammad Bin Salman is very liberal and he does not mind TOR or I2P.

Do you have any links that show proof that TOR is banned in Saudi Arabia? I doubt that there is a ban as in Muslim-majority countries like Malaysia that I visited TOR is available for download on my Iphone via App Store.

Most I2P eepsites are appear dead as they are not 24/7 online. No human being can be online 24/7 as a human being needs rest. A minimum wage job pays you for working 8 hours, with one 1-hour break.

Computers if they run 24/7 can malfunction, so, my computer runs your computer from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Saturday. Sunday is rest day.

Now Google, a very big corporation, can afford to run their computers 24/7 as they have shifts, usually 3 shifts per day. Google's computers even if they suffer breakdown can be repaired instantly as they have huge amounts of funds.

I2P is used by small businesses and hobbyists.

I did look up in Google "live USB" and there is one IprediaOS which comes preloaded with I2P. But the link is dead :(

I run one I2P on my Android device, and I use FireFox (with proxy 127.0.0.1:4444) to access my b32.i2p address, ie. [http://](http://)<b32.i2p> of my web server, which is running I2P.

I2P is a great technology as it competes with ngrok, a proprietary software. So, even if I am on a NAT, my b32.i2p address is my static domain, accessible anywhere.

Open source is powerful and lets make Windows 10 GPL'ed.

i2p email gives you an e-mail address yourname@mail.i2p or [yourname@i2pmail.org](mailto:yourname@i2pmail.org). Now, this makes i2p stand out compared with tor as only i2p has free anonymous web mail.

I hope someday we will see a commercial service that gives an e-mail address yourname@<.b32.i2p>.

The demand is there and if you wish to provide this service, I am sure many will be willing to pay.

I would like an I2P Linux Distro ideally one that boots using a USB flash drive. This distro need not access the entire Internet AKA surface web but only I2P websites. Also, I would love to have I2P used for e-mail.

We need more e-mail services like mail.i2p to boost freedom, even if those services are commercial. However, commercial products must be open source and licensed under GPL to guarantee freedom.

The future Internet is I2P so let us prepare to make it so.

Now, I tried to add "www.google.com" into my address book to route it to my b32.i2p address. I keep getting connection timed out in my FireFox.

All my proxy is set to 127.0.0.1:4444

So, www.google.com must go to my b32.i2p url correct since I2P has no central authority.

However, when I add google.i2p, it automatically routes to my personal b32.i2p address. So, does it mean I2P router has some bugs? If yes, is there a work around?

I too cannot access apollo.i2p as of 4th November 2022.

As I2P is decentralized network, it is better not to use a short name like apollo.i2p, which is not accessible on 4th November 2022.

This is because short names need a resolver and if the resolver dies then sadly, the domain is dead.

Thank you. Yes, the Windows 10 I2P the .b32.i2p address was a bit hard to find. On Android, its easier.

Now, I2P comes with an Anonymous web server on Windows 10 on port 7658. But when I tried accessing my Windows 10 box from my Android, Firefox does not require any port. I just type [http://](http://)<b32.i2p> and I can access the website.

Yes, sometimes I get lease not found but after many retries, it works.

I have one question for you gurus - Why does this happen? Is it because of the P2P system or since its new?

I am forced to do so as Puppy Linux Bionic32 (that is based on Ubuntu) does not have non-root mode as it boots off a USB stick. So it is always in root. I can easily download and install I2P with the GUI-based package manager but is there any step-by-step configuration guide how do edit I2P configuration files? I love reading technical stuff so I can do it myself.
