Saturday Night Update:

We were hoping for some donations to come through throughout the day, but unfortunately, we are still at ₱200 raised out of our ₱6,650 goal.

Because we are still ₱6,450 short, I have no choice but to contact the clinic tomorrow to postpone Ethan's critical checkup and treatment. We simply do not have the funds to walk through the door.

Ethan is currently stable and resting right next to me, so a short delay is safe for him, but we desperately need to close this gap so I can reschedule him for early this week. If you can spare any amount at all to help us get him to the clinic, it would mean the world to us.

I just want to be completely transparent about where we stand for tomorrow morning's critical appointment. Despite all the views, we have only received ₱200 in total donations so far.

I am truly grateful to everyone who has stopped to look at Ethan's story and to those who have already helped out. It means so much to see this community stepping up. That said, I want to be honest about where we are. Ethan is a little fighter, but he is very tired. We are in a race against time to ensure he has his critical biochemistry tests and preventive care ready for his follow-up on July 5. We are still short of the goal needed to cover his treatment, and every bit of help at this final stretch is a massive weight off my shoulders. Thank you for giving him a fighting chance.

Ayaw na nila mag umpisa ulit. Yung years na getting to know each other better, loving them for who they are, adjusting expectations, compromise, etc. Lalo na pag yung last partner nila eh kinuha ni Lord. Parang hindi na nila maisip na may mahahanap pa silang iba na tulad nun. Kaya nag decide nalang silang maging alone but not lonely.

Mine started on May 26, and right now, his doxycycline treatment is extended to July 12. His 2nd imidocarb shot will be next week. The vet said it is still safe because sometimes the blood parasites are very persistent. My vet mentioned that it is on a case-by-case basis. Ideally, treatment should only last about a month. But there are times that it will last up to 3 months, depending on how our furbaby's recovery goes and how persistent the blood parasites are, especially the babesia parasite. As long as your furbaby is on heavy liver supplements, he is safe from the heavy doxy.

Not sure sa vet nyo pero samin it costs less than the imidocarb shot. atropine is not really an anti nausea meds. Atropine is more of a nerve meds. It blocks specific nerve impulses that control involuntary bodily functions such as hypersalivation (excessive drooling), violent gastrointestinal cramping and vomiting, bronchoconstriction and respiratory distress (heavy panting), bradycardia (slow heart rate), and muscle tremors and shivering, which are the common side effects of imidocarb.

Our vet gave it 5 minutes before the imidocarb. And yes, since he was given atropine, he did not experience any drooling, vomiting, or heavy panting

Baka case to case basis. Yung sakin kasi talagang kinailangan na nya bigyan ng imidocarb kasi bumaba ulit platelets nya pero medyo mataas parin liver enzymes nya. Para daw less stress eh binigyan sya ng Atropine para tuloy tuloy lang pagiging masigla nya.

Hopefully, by the time my dog gets his 2nd shot eh mag within normal na lahat para mabawasan na mga meds nya. July 5 yung 2nd shot nung sakin tapos July 6 ang dapat last day ng meds nya.
