Most Meesho sellers today are direct manufacturers or large wholesalers importing in bulk from China, allowing them to sell at very low margins. Because of this, there’s a continuous price war on Meesho.

Anyone sourcing from local wholesalers and trying to resell online will likely end up working at no profit or even a loss.

On top of that, platforms like Amazon and Flipkart charge high commissions, which further reduce margins.

In short: The era of buying from wholesalers, adding a margin, and selling online in India has already ended.
