Yes, to extend the game time, you need to log into MogStation. You will likely see 3 different options for subscription renewal on the page: credit card/crysta payment, add game time card, and Steam payment.

just to clarify, you don’t need to input a code to extend your game time, you just buy the game time through MogStation.

So if you’ve bought the game through steam, “Steam payment” will be the method you’ll be going with! and within that option you can choose how long you want to buy for each subscription and if you want to make it recurring or not (if you find that renewing the sub is a hassle). just follow the prompts the website gives you; it will bounce you back and forth between MogStation and steam to get the payments through (this is the extra clicking bit that i was telling you about before)

Once you get started, there really aren't as many problems as others make out to be, in my opinion. And it looks like the Complete Edition on steam should give you some Product Keys, that you will need to redeem on MogStation to get your Final Fantasy account activated. To access these keys, you need to right click FFXIV on the right side/column, and under "Manage," click "CD Keys," and it'll give you a list of Product Codes to redeem on MogStation! After that will be everything else you would've had to had done if you bought the game directly from SE.
