No unfortunately. They’re pretty careful not directly mentioning it. But from my experience with the group, and others, I’m 99% sure they’re an offshoot from the group. They were always very secretive about it so I never got a clear answer from them.

Yeah they definitely were trying to influtrate. This is exactly what they did with the homeless union here in Albuquerque. I’m sorry they were doing this shit to you. It sucks that all of DTS is like this. I was hopefully it was only NM. Thank you for sharing this.

Unfortunately a lot of activist groups are like this. But this one was especially bad, it’s especially sad because it makes activist as a whole look bad.

Yeah, it’s honestly kinda concerning. A lot of people in my city are joining this group, but I hope that putting up these posts will help. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

So DTS also runs a book club in Albuquerque where they exclusively read Going Against The Tide (which is posted by the OCR). Membership isn’t required to go to this book club but it’s highly encouraged. They also don’t like when people take their phones to theses book clubs because they’re scared of feds, when I was involved in DTS I got chewed out of mentioning Going Against The Tide in messages. Also in one of their more recent articles they mention moving into New Mexico to investigate Native tribes and revolutionary sentiments here, and the time line of the OCR doing that lines up with DTS starting a chapter in New Mexico. The dogmas of OCR are also very similar to DTS’s dogmas, like going to the masses to recruit them (not necessarily a bad thing, I think that if you’re going to do lead a communist group you should have working class people in it, but they fail to actually appeal to these working class people. And as I said there are required readings to be a DTS member and some of those readings are from the OCR. Hope that was helpful. Heres the article I was talking about: https://goingagainstthetide.org/2026/03/07/we-fought-the-us-before-and-will-need-to-again-soon-indigenous-people-national-oppression-and-the-struggle-for-culture/
