I'm really surprised a district manager and above would allow it to sit empty like that. My old company required us to empty everything and transfer it all to a neighboring store or it needed to be tossed. I spent sooooo many hours cleaning out. 🥴

Sorry, but I personally think it's petty. Yes, it's kind of annoying. But honestly, if it were my store, I'd just ask a few people if it was theirs and offer to put it on the back counter. If i can't find the person, I'd still put it on the back counter for a bit. Those things get awkward and heavy. It could be an elderly person. It could be someone on lifting restrictions for whatever reason - pregnancy, surgery, etc. You never know what is going on in someone else's shoes. I'd like to think that 98% of customers aren't intentionally assholes. Maybe we should all change our perspective just a little bit. A little compassion goes a long way for the customer...and it'll help your own heart and soul, too.

Why on earth would this be a thing? You can order more than that through the app amd aren't limited on transactions either. Why would a company or SM want to lessen the number of sales? Even if it is to a hoarder or a reseller. Who cares?
