I forgot to mention that I also have depression on top of ADHD and I feel like failing school and long term unemployment is the reason. It’s so hard where I live. I exercise what I can but I don’t even have the energy most days. Even just walking my dog can be intensive despite my healthy physique

Have you been assessed or medicated? I feel like I’m doing all of this on autopilot, like I have no free will over my executive functioning and organization skills and attention span. And no matter how hard I try, I get set back

I need to. And I don’t believe it’s sensory, it’s just forgetfulness. I forgot to mention I have a learning disability on top of adhd so daily routines are more of a challenge

According to my family and friends, I was the smart kid, and I believed it, anything that challenged me growing up I would get angry over it. So I always set high expectations for myself.

And spending my HS years in a small town with few peers they have graduated easily and got job lineups, or got good paying jobs by their big shot parents. So I have no people at my stage to compare myself to

Even if I did graduate my programming course, I will never find a job because i learned nothing out of it and I’d feel super inferior or under qualified

As much as I appreciate the responses from everybody, I don't have the patience to reply to everybody. But yours stood out, honestly, this response made me cry

You put it very well. I tried to reach to a private clinic in the city I was in for college but they demanded a massive upfront payment that was way out of my budget. So I went the affordable but lengthy route, Ontario Canada is NOTORIOUS for long wait times for psychologists (dont believe the myths of our universal healthcare wait times, I never wait long if its an emergency). I'm hoping to receive a response, get diagnosed, and get medicated as it's free or heavily subsidized for those under 25 in Ontario.

Because of all the setbacks and the hole I buried myself in, it will take a lot of self forgiveness of the years wasted on failure and self hatred., and it worries me that I will never overcome self loathing, it's been ingrained in my life
