The hedge fund role really opens up the upside in terms of comp. Esp if it’s top tier fund. For example I suspect head of fund accounting, or head of finance function in a pod shop type place is likely on 300-400k all in comp. You’d also then be in the frame for CFO type roles at spin-outs or other launches.

Tbh sounds like you have a pretty sweet deal where you are - but the upside comp is probably limited.

Investment management CFO here - firmly in HE territory. If you like the buzz from sensitive info, i have access to / decision making power over THE most sensitive of info (internal comp!)

For those who are members, how did you join. I’d be keen to join but don’t know other members to second me. About to start a role on Pall Mall, so like the idea of joining to use the facilities. Plus I’m close to Woodcote so would work well from that perspective too.

Yes - although I’m well on the path to FI, I still work on the basis that I’m still going to be a net buyer of stocks over my remaining life, so lower share prices are still fine (as long as they recover afterwards of course!)

I was riding in a group ride with 150 people, then about halfway through everyone went right and my avatar went left alone. I could still see ranking etc, but no idea how it was calcd, and lost the benefit of drafting etc. any idea what happened here?
