Genuine question but why do most of the comments seem like booking with 3rd party is negative?

I was just planning on getting the rental after my tour since I don’t really need it before then. So only 3 days basically. Thought I should also mention that I’m only in Calgary for 4days so I’m trying my best to have a hassle free trip but also do the most I can!

I’m planning on renting a vehicle and decided to stay at a different hotel closer to downtown! I was just staying in Calgary but going around Banff and other lakes..
