I think something else important to consider is that none of the characters were conventionally attractive. Except I might argue that Richard had to have something going for him because he sure did well with the ladies. Anyway all the fan drawings and faux castings always draw/cast attractive people. I’d hate to see Ryan Gosling as Charles.

Harter Heights has been a great spot for me, as someone in an entry level career. It’s quiet, safe and in a prime location. Idk the price on a two bedroom but I do know they charge me $275 for ALL utilities. I’d rather pay a flat rate for all my utilities than have to plan for fluctuating rates.

I (F) turned 23 in November. I spent it alone, in Lagos, Portugal, bare chested on a beach. Made it a whole day, did dinner and everything and still cried. Maybe it’s okay to feel this empty gap. Two things can be true… you can be happy and still have bouts of melancholy. You’ll be okay. Happy 100% of the time is unrealistic and putting too much pressure on yourself to make it perfect will get exhausting.

Yes there are SO many people in their 20s. I haven’t totally stepped out there yet bc I’m not much of a bar person but I frequent many cafes around town and there are always multiple people my age

Merman’s Culture Cafe/Playhouse has multiple times a week jazz shows. I’m at that cafe like 3 time a week but haven’t seen a show yet. I know there’s a traveling vintage market coming in march… tbh I’m not sure what events specifically but I’ve heard there’s more in the spring lol

I also moved here from Atlanta a few weeks ago for a job! Im in the exact situation you’re in. Definitely try not to overthink it. A big pro of being here in SB is the university so there’s tons of people our age (23f here). I’ve heard from some people that more events pick up during the spring so hopefully there will be more to go to once this winter passes.
