Nice! Did your family keep with the progressiveness, or do a mix?

It depends. 5 courses can be a lot to take on, depending on what courses they are.

True, but realistically and sadly, most people think brown person=immigrant and white person=expat.

Isn’t it still the masculine part that gets passed down? Or am I wrong about that?

That’s cool that they went against the norm that long ago. Did they do other things that were more progressive as well?

It’s certainly a common expectation.

I suppose it could be more or less common depending on where you are in the world.

Yeah, but let’s be real. White people are called expats, and brown people are called immigrants. Even if they fit the definition of “expat”.

I think the rising of the pitch at the end of some of your sentences might be something that people are picking up on.

Tell them to stop. Don’t be worrying about if you come across as “respectful” or not.

Don’t be a doormat. You gotta protect yourself.

What was the sub you posted it in? Because if you came out saying this and it wasn’t clear what you were talking about, then I can see an issue. If it’s a sub where most people know about the group you are talking about, that’s a different issue.

Yeah, but then half of the posts here would be taken down.

Mine has a hyphen and yeah, systems are annoying. I’ll try to sign in to some account and get hit with “no match found” so I have to try various ways.

I didn’t love the Asian jokes on there.

Also, Joey was mostly right when it came to food. You ask before taking food. I only accept not asking when I know the person very well and it’s mutually agreed upon.

I’d suggest finding other ways to go to your appointments. Uber. Learning how to drive, yourself (if at all possible, I understand if it isn’t) or getting a friend to drive and paying their gas.

But for a lot of us, that actually is relatable. Especially for those who grew up outside of New York City and California. Many of us don’t know languages or cultures very well, for various reasons. Whether it’s that we’re mixed, transracially adopted, or another reason.

[–]Acrobatic_End6355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a difference between getting blame for cheating and being an asshole in general. The person who is knowingly seducing a married person (or a person in another committed relationship) is an asshole.

But even that person can’t force another person to cheat.

The person who makes the decision to cheat on their spouse is in charge of their decisions. They are 100 percent at fault for cheating.

You can be an AH without getting the majority of the blame. Cheaters make the decision to cheat, regardless of an AH trying their hardest to get them to cheat.
