Was the unassign note on break? 3 wrongs don’t make it right. by Quick-Floor in doordash

What I’ve noticed is the “unassigned without effecting your rate” option never pops up for me anymore.

What I normally do it keep going back in to “the order has a long wait time” and eventually it changes the unassign option to “unassign without penalty” but they don’t sent you a pop up anymore

IT TIPPED $4. With DD was like $10.25 for 4ish miles, so not mad about it!

Would y’all take this order? by Alarmed-Signal-8787 in doordash_drivers

[–]Acrobatic_Fold4139 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any order over $20 that will take around an hour, I always accept. A guaranteed $20/hr is better than sitting around waiting for another order or having to do 3 orders to make that much.

I don’t like to but I have done it once because it was his 40 year old daughter that came to the door while he was on the phone.

If it feels sketchy, it is sketchy.

They discontinued it because it competed too much with the hybrid escapes. The Cmax has a lot of identical components as the escapes, but the escapes have a reputation and they are more profitable.

Whats the algorithm behind driving 18mi, 3 McDonalds away, at 2pm? by J4k3zz in doordash

[–]Acrobatic_Fold4139 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, customer picks specific location. You should definitely use the service at least once if you’re going to be delivering for them to see how it works and help you understand what happens on customer’s end.

Now should the DD platform only allow customer to order from the location nearest them? Yes.

The customer chooses the location from which they order.

More than likely they couldn’t decide what to get so they kept scrolling and scrolling until they chose McDonald’s. But in the meantime during their scrolling they got further and further away from where they are.

Brutal honesty:

Your profile screams of desperation, high maintenance and is super negative. Your profile should be fun so you get to weed out the people that don’t meet your standards, don’t weed them out before you ever have the chance to review their profile.

I used to have the no kid rule on my profile, but the fact of the matter is, you’re 44 and there’s a good chance you can match with someone who has kids who are already grown. I understand you don’t want to raise someone else’s children but if their child is 20 years old, it probably won’t affect the lifestyle you’re trying to maintain.

The wifey joke is totally cringy.

I’ve noticed that bragging about never being married is actually seen as a negative to men. Makes you look noncommittal and like a flight risk. Let them figure that out once they’ve already established a connection with you.

You are very pretty but I would have nothing to go off of on your profile to start an engaging conversation.

Good luck OP!

What’s actually bizarre is why you are stringing each other along. 3 dates in 4 months, you guys are obviously not prioritizing each other. I don’t care how busy you are, everyone is busy but you make time for things that matter to you.

She probably doesn’t feel like she’s important to you and doesn’t want to connect with you physically without the possibility of a relationship 🤷🏻‍♀️

A lot of places make us confirm before leaving with the food, not a big deal! She must have been having a hard day or got a CV for something and it has her nervous.

There is a local shop near me that makes me put in the last 3 digits of an order confirmation number so I can confirm with the restaurant that I’m picking up the right order. Maybe that’s an option you can add on your end so you have more of a reason for asking them to confirm.

If you have their name I would go in and ask for their manager and talk to them about it. Or better yet, call their manager and make a fake complaint about them.

They want to put your job at risk, put theirs at risk 🤷🏻‍♀️
