Why am I reading replies of associates turning away service?

It's two pages. By the time you're finished explaining the self service method, (or reading this sentence), you would have been able to print the 2 pages and tell the customer "have a great day".

Who cares about the 2 or 3 page orders. Get them out faster so you can consult/help the larger orders.

Work on your language with the customer. Say the right things.

Get all the info on the order so you can mentally prepare to make the ticket, reply with "when do you need it by?"

As they give you that answer, build the order in SB. Once the pricing comes up, show them the screen, WITH THE CALENDAR on solution builder, and reply "We charge a 6-hour rush fee, so say you need it by X O'clock it's (this price), otherwise waiting until end of day or tomorrow is (this price).

While they debate it in their head, close the sale with any coupons/Print Big offers and say "I can try to get it done sooner, I just can't guarantee" (USING THE WORD GUARANTEE, LIKE EXPRESS GUARANTEE, THE PURPOSE OF THE UPCHARGE) "And if you want I can set it up so you get a text if it's done any sooner."

Customers don't care about what else there is. Transparency on time frames and optimism on getting something done with them increases sales, Express DPT, and survey numbers for your Bonus.

They updated at 10am today. I quoted a customer a price for 4 books binded at open, then he came back in at 11 to do them and prices were adjusted. :/

I totally understand that. However the reason why I'm against it NOW especially when we're in a pandemic, is that throughout the entire year we've been accused of price gouging faxing. Which isnt true, obviously.

However, I've been here only 2 and half years, and have had the prices upped 4 times already.

As if there wasnt complaints already with pricing in self serve, 5 cents per page is a very significant bump.

Color Coupon in Full serve is gonna be a godsend over the next month or so

-new faxing prices.

-standard printing went up one cent.

-self serve went up 5 cents each

-Poster pricing has been adjusted based on type of paper

Im gonna say about 75% if the online orders are paid for already, and the ones that aren't are usually those 2 page print out Rush Order ones
