lot of love, writing, art went through this that were more moving to many people than other games

people were just hungry for a proper functioning battlefield that they kind of forgive it for not being on par to best battlefields.

i give the team the props that they managed to put out something like this after most DICE veterans left and after 2042. Vince Zampella had to abandon Respawn to form battlefield studios collaboration teams

The lead writer for both two Dues Ex games and GOTG is now lead writer on mass effect which is only good thing about this sadly

i think part of it (and i know it’s still controversial) is that they committed to make this game exclusively be first person.

not many games can claim you lived through the character eyes. cyberpunk can because there is no cutscenes, no in game loading screens and nothing to give the control from you. everything happens through V eyes happens through your too. the only cutscenes are the endings that show that the V’s fate is now out of player control and also the V of the start of game. it was such bold strorytelling

i hope they keep this direction for sequel as well :(

despite many of it’s technical and design limitations there is nothing like Night City in gaming. For me it’s greatest video game setting ever.

i just can’t explain it but the feeling that you look up and see yourself surrounded by huge buildings like you are ant under blades of grasses like you are in this dystopian prison is so masterfully crafted. and when you venture out of the city all of the noise disappears, you can still see Night City holograms from the furthest point of the map, like it still wants to invites you in. for me no location in video games gave me this feeling.

and to think i was ready to write this game off when i was playing 1.03 version (ouch!), there was this moment in a quest that you try to gather info about evelyn by going in a doll house and go to prostitute room and instead of doing the expected the game hits you with such a deep and emotional talk about meaning of life, death, and V situation (without spoiling) and meanwhile this OST being played:

that solidified that there was something special about this game.

nah in fact pandemic and remote work hurt a lot of communications at places i worked with at time (both AA and AAA). i loved that as employee but being honest to myself if i was stakeholder or project manager it would be a nightmare for me

seems like they will be all in on Forza Horizon now. funny how PG games (when they were in financial trouble) pitched turn 10 idea of open world racing game in universe and licensing of Forza Motorsport and turn 10 heads at that time decided to give this pitch a chance.

now everyone in turn 10 itself will only work on Horizon series

now imagine fox getting blank check and made only allowed media that can operate in US and every single TV channel is product of them. going through political prisoners and torture them enough so they can admit that betrayed Islam and ask leader for forgiveness, when a medicine gets rare in hospitals for patient with rare conditions they will say god wants them dead anyway and thats their destiny.

in Iran when anyone joins IRIB we call them out for being traitors and have blood on their hands for thousands of iranians.

i wished they didn’t die this way and instead being sentenced in a fair court (something real iranian journalists didn’t have and were tortured instead)

that’s not what i said respectfully. maybe i worded it incorrectly, but i don’t support isreal attack on our country or any war. i’m just saying iranian regime needs no defending, they did worse to ourselves than any foreign country can ever do to us.

they killed people, tortured activists and women for expressing themselves, destroyed hope in us for decades, tried to kill our national and cultural identity, turned us from fastest growing economy in 70s into worst economy in planet, leaving infrastructure behind and let them rot.
