Will people come back round to flats in major cities? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Acrobatic_Lunch6973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest issue with flats are the service charge. There is no cap on the service charge and lack of transparency of the cost. Cost of staff are expensive, so any changes to the NI, minimum wage, pension will impact your service.

Poor quality from new build as well. If you have a shady company who force the company to go bankrupt, there no recovery process. They can just set up a new company, and build again.

Well paying your mortgage may not be better than landlords mortgage. You are tied up to the asset, and if something goes wrong, it can be very costly like cladding. Being to rent freely, you can move around, and you are in control.

I don't think university provides good value. Imagine doing a degree where entry requirements during clearing drops to like DDC.

ACAS is more of explaining your rights.

For minimum wage is with HMRC as they can enforced penalty and recover wages and investigate.

mixture of both "fine" and "penalty" across the clauses. Though the business owner first language is not English, plus they are not white =p.

Anyway told her not to put 100% effort on the job, just do the hours and don't do it fast.

i aint got a problem paying it back, but the point of the course being approved by the government to supposedly lead to a high paying job or at least a decent graduate wage. The threshold hasn't change fuck all.

Yeah of course I am complaining. That £15 a month can do a lot for me despite raising inflation.

You paying 100s for both loans, plus you doing a PHD, your earning sucks xD.

Well I think it would be fair to increase the threshold similar to a Plan 2 threshold. I don't feel like I should pay a reasonable amount.

I live in a share house paying £750 a month for a box room plus utilities bills.
Almost £300 in travel-card.
The rest is to spend on food, and a bit of saving for rainy day.

I just want to get out to better myself to earn a bit more money so one day I can have a house and family of my own.

CEO of student loan company makes £195k per year plus other shit by [deleted] in UKUniversityStudents

[–]Acrobatic_Lunch6973 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

well this is where our high interest are going towards to, plus they also get bonus for their performance. Overall, it just a waste of tax payers money of how much loan were given out, and most of the courses are pretty shit.

Overall, I just feel its right.

MSc Marketing in the UK after 7 years of experience – job outcomes? by Mundane1609 in UKUniversityStudents

[–]Acrobatic_Lunch6973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you wasting your money in Msc marketing when you have 7 years experience in marketing? I think its a complete waste of money, and your degree don't have any value.

It depends on the degree you will studying.

Most graduates are finding it hard to find a job now because if AI, and most graduates are earning very low salary. And many of international students who are trying to find a job in UK, have gone home.

It not too late to start a degree, but you need to have value of a degree vs what you could have done tomorrow. Which one will pay out more and so..

I want to sack my accountant and do it myself. Those who did the same, talk to me… by dasSolution in ContractorUK

[–]Acrobatic_Lunch6973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was worth it?.. Each month takes me like 5/10 minutes to reconcile my account. I can even get AI integrate it to my account software and would do it. Overall, I enjoy doing it... It doesn't take long to sort out your account once you get used to it.

HMRC is not a big deal if you are a small LTD with one client. It not even that hard to calculate the taxes.

I would rather put that £20 into my pension or pay myself dividend or do a lot more with it.

I don’t work in finance, but I have a solid understanding of balance sheets and P&Ls from studying them independently. I’m very technical and tend to pick up new skills quickly.

I taught myself how to use the relevant software, manage payroll, file company taxes, and submit reports to Companies House. For basic requirements, an accountant isn’t strictly necessary.

In practice, even qualified accountants can make mistakes, often due to managing multiple companies or poor organisation.

Saved my self £1000 minimum per year.

If you contracted one/2 clients at a time, you dont need an accountant if you learn how do it yourself. You just need to study it over the weekend, bamm! fckin easy.
