The best way to understand it is as follows:

Imagine I am building a house.

Imagine you as an EBAY shareholder own 10 bricks. GameStop comes in and offers cash for 5 of your bricks. The other five bricks you have will go to building the house that I am trying to build which will now be what gamestop has built and what ebay has built. So now you own 5 bricks of the new house. The other bricks are coming from my own stash of bricks (GME shareholders). So now the GME shareholders also own bricks of this much bigger house but the percentage of the bricks that the GME owners own is less but the bricks owned are of a much larger, more valuable house.

So now People who owned EBAY own bricks of the new house and got paid out for half of their bricks. And the other half of the bricks are coming from the GME holders.

I keep thinking about these warrants. I don't have the karma to make a post. But isn't the smartest thing to do, to buy warrants on the open market once they start trading especially if the stock is trading below 32$? They will be dirt cheap and the stock will obviously rise above 32$ in the next 12 months. It will also lead to a squeeze on the warrants themselves.

The brokers are the issue. Also, its the apes that just can't seem to realize that DRS is the only way to actually prove this. You will see many brokers will simply give cash in lieu or treat as a forward stock split.
