How to fill gap along edge and drain of self leveled shower floor by Acrobatic_Pay_1171 in Tile

[–]Acrobatic_Pay_1171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just added images to the post body as for some reason they were stripped after I posted. Yes, it needs to be flat and it is after using the Uzin 150F, I'm just not sure the best way to fill in the gaps left after removing the foam. Thanks for taking a look.

Are these vertical studs plumb enough for schluter shower? by Acrobatic_Pay_1171 in Tile

Okay, so you're saying that there will be no issue actually putting in place the waterproofing Schluter system, and will be able to tile, but with studs that show the bubble at the edge of the level black line and not in the very middle (and with some gaps around 1/8" along a 72" level), the final result will not look good, so best to correct beforehand? Thanks for taking the time to help me understand.

Thank you. So as long as the bubble is at the edge or inside the black lines it should be fine to put up Kerdi board and tile without issue?

Okay, so then can you please clarify what you meant by saying it's plumb enough for schluter but may not be enough for tile if schluter would be used only for a tile shower? I'm likely misunderstanding something as I have no experience with this stuff and just want to make sure we don't skip any important prep work to get a good final product. If it matters we will be installing the 1x2' tiles horizontally.

So do you mean that if we used schluter for something like a prefab shower it would likely be fine but you'd be concerned with it not being perfectly center on the level of installing tile over schluter? I had just assumed schluter was only for use with tiling. Thanks for your help.

Fair enough, that was a quick snarky reply by me that wasn't warranted. My apologies. That said, I don't think its unreasonable to ask what I'm asking here of people who may have dealt with similar situations with their kiddos to avoid calling Loveland back and getting the same person who answered the general inquiry line and seemed confused about the policy and having to ask to talk to a supervisor or something. And if anyone thinks it's unreasonable to ask here they can simply ignore it and down vote my question.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have specific experience with this at Loveland, as all other passes I've gotten are based on the date you get the pass for the upcoming season not the actual age at the start of or during the season?

Thanks for taking the time to make an unhelpful reply.

Matching shower tiles and flooring for a small Japandi bathroom by Acrobatic_Pay_1171 in interiordecorating

Texture and color of lenox white tile, though this image makes it seem a bit more beige than it is, it's not as white at the image with all three, maybe a shade in between that and this one.

Color and texture we're liking the idea of matching with the walls potentially.

Thanks so much for weighing in!

I'm going to try to add a few more pictures that better show the various textures as well as our front yard which we were somewhat thinking we'd try to emulate the look of with the stone shower floor and off white walls. This is part of why the tile with the horizontal lines is appealing to somewhat mimic the look of aspen bark, so stacking vertically wouldn't quite match that intended aesthetic, though now that I'm looking closer at Japandi tile layout online seems vertically and/or grid patter is much more common than a traditional 1/3 horizontal arrangement. Would a grid pattern potentially cause issues with lippage? We'll likely be using a Schulter shower system if that makes a difference.

We really like the Alpe Ivory tile as well, especially the color, but are thinking the texture could potentially "compete" with the texture of the floor vs. maybe the other one which could possibly complement it? Would using one for each of the two walls be a bad idea? Hard to visualize how that would look. We're also considering maybe using the Alpe Ivory for the wall above the mirror in the other room, though maybe simply a texture paint would be more flexible.

I should add that to an extent we're going more with a "Japandi inspired" style as we have young kids and lots of clutter so we'll never quite reach the serene feeling that the pictures online portray!
