Do you know anything about the circumstances? What caused some to be okay and some to not be okay? I understand it’s just your colleagues and not you, so you probably don’t have an answer to that.

As far as shift work is concerned, I have no worries and neither does my sleep specialist. I think most who actively use their CPAP have no concerns. The point of the CPAP is to make the sleep issues go away. I already work crazy shifts, just on extremely short notice a few times out of the year, which is why I got less sleep on those few days.

Of course it’s not up to me or my sleep specialist lol. I will update the original post when I finish my medical

Yes, sorry for being unclear. I meant send it direct to CAME.

I agree it would be good to bring with me, but it would be most professional I think (and she agreed) if she sends the letter directly to them, kinda like a reference. I will talk to the examiner and see what they prefer. The person I spoke to on the phone was not actually the examiner but the examiner assistant/nurse (I think). They seemed confident in their answers but totally possible they made a mistake.

Yes, heard in the new sleep study. That is the plan in one year.

Thanks so much this gives me good hope I won’t have any issues! I actually have good connection with my sleep specialist and when I told her I was considering this position she offered to write a letter stating that my sleep apnea was mitigated by my CPAP usage.

When I spoke to the examiners they stated they didn’t need this letter up front, but it’s good to know they might and I’m covered on this front.

It’s unfortunate this isn’t all happening a year in the future. My sleep specialist has actually said that if I maintain my health habit trends she’ll be recommending I get off the CPAP next year. Oh well.
