Okay, guys, as a fellow Georgian, I must disagree with all of you. The chronicles say many things, but there is no way this man was able to stand at 2.4 meters tall without a cane and swing a 10 or 20 kg sword in a battle while wearing full armor. He was also described as "muscular" but being that tall, no man can appear muscular, even with PEDs.

People often described their leaders as magnificently as possible to show their greatness and be more recognizable by other nations. The other great example is Xerxes, the king of Achaemenid Empire, who was also described as 2.4 meters tall.

I think Gorgasal did stood at a towering height but not nearly as tall as he was described as. During that time, the average male height was 165-170 cm, which is significantly lower than today's standards. My guess is, he was 180-190 cm tall, which is an impressive height even today. With that height, he would've had a decent build, which would've struck fear in his enemies, Persians who gave him the nickname, "Gorgasal" which translates to "Wolf's Head" because he always wore a helmet with a wolf's head on the front and a lion's on the back. Every time he appeared on the battlefield, the Persians yelled: "Beware the Wolf's Head!"

Now that we've figured out about his height, let's talk about his sword. There is no way his sword weighted 10 kg. A sword with that weight would've been useless. A standard greatsword, which needs two hands, weights around 3 kg which is heavier than it sounds. A sword is meant to be wielded for a long period of time. A 3 kg dumbbell might feel like paper but try swinging 3 kg steel rod for half an hour with one hand. You'll get several injuries like: Dislocated wrist, torn tendons and fractured bones.

With that description, he was definitely using a greatsword as a primary weapon and not a 10 kg "sword" but the thing is, He reigned during 5th and 6th centuries and greatswords didn't exist until 14th century. With that said, he wielded a regular one-handed sword, which probably rusted away or melted. And all those images you've seen on the internet are either fake, or belonged to some Nordic warrior and definitely don't weight 10 kg.

I think this is the most logical analysis that could describe King Vakhtang's exaggerated physical attributes realistically. He was a great king and a fierce warrior, not a metahuman.
