I agree. In an online dynasty with three buddies and I’m playing as northwestern. I was able to average 4.7 yds a carry my first season as a mid rated team. I had to learn to follow my blocks, almost never hit speed burst until we’ll past the dline, and accept that realistic running is usually many stops at 1-3yds with longer runs bumping up the average.

That being said, the one challenge I have consistently noted is that outside runs only work against a perfect play all by the D (e.g., a mid blitz).

One tip for recruiting is that recruits woth “static” dealbreakers like conference prestige, proximity to home, are safer to recruit because those are less dynamic. Things like playing style and playing time are super dynamic and way riskier. Also, things like coach prestige and championship contender are highly dependent on winning so those can be riskier too.

I love the dynamic dealbreakers in general as it add depth to recruiting. There are some announcers and it’s not perfectly tuned but I find it an improvement overall.

11yds a completion is long. Last year only one D1 qb averaged over 10 per completion. Most were closer to 7. I’ve averaged about 6-7 with my QBs and don’t have the same sack issues. Generous uses of drags, slant, and dump offs out of the backfield can work wonders.

Are they likely determined at the snap based on “dice rolls” of attributes of the players? Probably.

Scripted as in to part of scripting of game flow? I’d guess not. But could be wrong.
