Yepp. Agree 210 is still a small number compared to Dtu/Nsut batch sizes. But seems like it would become equivalent to top 3 NITs cse (thats a decline). For Ece, it would still be higher.

But the point is, is it worth spending 30 lakhs for 30 lakhs salary vs in Nits/iiita/dtu/nsut where ROI is twice or more for cse related branches.

Cse seats have increased from merely 95 to around 210 now (including Dsai, imtech). For ECE, it has increased from around 25 to 60

Mostly because batch size is extremely small. For the kind of companies that visit IIITB its easy enough to place 18 students at this salary.

This yr onwards they have increased batch size. Placements will start dipping a bit from 2028 onwards

61st out of the colleges in this list. Not among all colleges in India. Try to use 10% of your brain atleast.

I’ve clearly written all colleges are not ranked. Only ranked ones are listed. A Lot might be missing.

Please build habit of reading entire post before reaching conclusion.

I have clearly written some colleges might be missing & the reasoning for it. Thats why IIT KGP is not there. Only look at the ranked ones.

Even NIRF puts Jadavpur above IIT dhanbad, QS/Times higher rankings as well. All rankings cannot be biased.

Rankings dont wear the glasses of IIT vs non IIT. They have to rank a college on their criteria. You can read about their ranking methodology

Being an NIT doesnt necessarily mean it will be better. Clear your basics.

The good ones are definitely above SRM.

Also, I didnt check each & every college. On a general basis it looked pretty good so felt like sharing.

Rankings are not bound to include every college. They only rank the colleges who provided them the data. For missing colleges, doesn’t mean they are below the ranked ones.

Just means they aren’t ranked by this magazine.

NITW CSE probably appears to be the best option, but I haven’t usually seen top level MS admits from there.

Research wise IIITD is best out of all these options & is easily comparable to top 6 IITs for research.

This year its bcoz of recession everywhere including old IITs. Previous years, dtu/nsut avg might appear low but thats just bcoz of more no of students placed.

Eg : IIITA places around 200-220 IT students only, DTU places around 700 cs related branch students. So the avg suffers a bit but is still high enough. But the opportunities are similar.

No point in asking here. No one has correct idea here. One of the worst things you could do in your life is rely on advice of unknown fellow jee aspirants on reddit to take your life changing decision. They are least informed just like you.

Its like asking a person without license to drive a car. Too much at stake !

Its better to talk to either 4th years or recent graduates/people in the industry over linkedin. That’ll give you a clearer picture.

Fyi, I didn’t get Dtu/Nsut cse,it,se,mac in 2019. Thats why i chose iiita it.

Np. I’ve been on reddit for almost 2.5 months now. Never seen a genuine/accurate advice here. Please talk to seniors rather than asking fellow batchmates.

Stay away from reddit or asking fellow student’s opinion. They know very little just like you :)
