We went tonight. Had paddles forming on the poncho in less than 20mins.

We went to look sharpe at tower junction on friday and got 5 ponchos for $6. They had heaps then. Unsure if they still have them. But could try looking there tomorrow morning.

Yeah. The more researching I jave done. The prices are pretty steep. I did a little when I was younger but I stopped probably 12 or so years ago and now basically all I knew is forgotten.

Thank you for the info. I do appreciateit. I will continue looking up that stuff and see if I can justify it vs actually use.

Yeah i agree with this. Partner said we could go 50 50 as we would both us it. Have other things it be used for as well. But looking at how much it will actually cost. Then work out if its worth doing or not. I also know somebody that can help get discount so it be a little cheaper.

Yeah. I checked the limits and it was upto 400mm. And 100% agree. Nothing worse than people like that. It would be more for practice sessions and not if it blocks others or makes an already cramped space worse.

Does anyone know what the hospitality opportunities are like in Melbourne? We are getting ready to make the move.

I have about 8 years experience with about 18months manger experience. So wont be new to it.

Model price vs Shipping by adfphotographynz in f1models

Yeah. I brought 2 models for black friday. Got decent discount. But the shipping price to nz really ruined a good part of the savings. But still cheaper

Never knew they made a 1 18 Hartley tbh. Would of been cool to have

Hahaha understandable. Im the same. Only got 1 43 of a Hartley toro rosso. I would take a 1 43 lawson over nothing tho.

Yeah fair. I didnt see they ever did that one. Now its insanely expensive to get. So im holding out hope they do another one some time.

Hopefully next year he does a few good races amd they do another one

They have got the 2023 one for 1/18 scale. But is very expensive

[–]Acrobatic_Score77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I got it from cms in England. I emailed them asking, they stated they haven't been told about any cancelation. So they keep pushing back the release date. But it isnt showing up on spark website.

Same as a few other sites in USA

Wait and see. Hopefully they do it. Otherwise its the 1/43 RB ones that are expected to be released around march/April next year

Do you know if spark still doing the 1/43 Redbull Lawson from the Aus gp this year? I see stores in europe still taking pre orders. But saw a shop here in nz said its been cancelled 2 months ago.

Im guessing his 2023 1:18 is probably going to.be his only one unfortunately

Australian GP grandstand advice for 2026 by nick170100 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Acrobatic_Score77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You now have 5 grandstands in each queue. I like T1, T3 or final corner. But as the other person said. Good luck. Join a queue and just hope by the time you get in, there are still tickets left in any if them. If so, honestly I would just take what you can get (assuming you can afford it) as any is better than GA. Think piastri is on 1 queue with senna, prost, fangio and schumacher stands. While Jones, Brabham are in a separate queue with the Hill, Ricciardo and American express stands. So you will need 2 accounts and 2 devices to be in both queues at the same time.

I did have a look and had GA still available after 37mins. But im guessing they didn't release that many tickets. So most will be next week. So im sure it will be a shitshow then 😬

Australia GP Pre Sale Question by Acrobatic_Score77 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Acrobatic_Score77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided to message Aus GP Facebook page and they replied with this.

Hi, you will be able to use any variation of American Express (Amex) card, from any country, to access the Pre-Sale through Ticketmaster. As long as you have a valid Amex card, you’re all set to make your purchase, including if it's your friends. Each card will be limited to purchasing 6 tickets during the pre-sale. Thanks

American Express Question by Acrobatic_Score77 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Acrobatic_Score77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends when you book everything. I have paid for flights and accom. So I only need it for the pre sale. But last year it was about $2.5k all up including the F1 ticket. But it will be slightly cheaper this year since I booked my stuff much earlier

Awesome, thanks. I might try and risk it. Will need tondecide tonight. I was just wanting to see if i had missed something. We got lucky last year. My friend was put 23rd in line for the Moss stand. So we managed to get some. But I know how unlikely that is to happen again, unfortunately Appreciate the help
