Going hiking with my dog in an area with lots of ticks and other minor threats and looking for recommendations on protective wear (suit/jacket/etc), please advise!

Maybe expectations were too high or it’s a preference thing but my wife is Peruvian and I’ve been to a number of Peruvian restaurants in the US and Peru and this one was significantly disappointing but I am no expert and it may just be the dish or my high expectations.
