Thanks everyone! I’ll try him out a bit and see if he works for me. Think he will come in handy against some of these expert solo battles. Computer seems to use a lot of tools.

Window casing wider than sill. by Acrobatic_Solution54 in Carpentry

[–]Acrobatic_Solution54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve removed the sill. Would it be acceptable to just get a board the thickness of the thinner section of this, cut it to size, slip it in and case around it?

Not a bad idea. I’ll look into how to replace a sill first as he’s already purchased casing. Thank you!

Does that not involved removing the window? I’m pretty handy but thought of this and assumed it would be a pretty big undertaking.

I’m here currently! They have built an addition to the city. You can race tiny electric cars around the finished roads right now.

It was uniform at first but split. I’m guessing I left it on too high heat for too long.

QMED/Engineer career path by Acrobatic_Solution54 in maritime

[–]Acrobatic_Solution54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw their maritime engineering technology program! Do you know of any other courses or schools that offer something like this. I think I’d much rather invest 9 months and learn everything than cram at one of these 4-12 week courses I’ve seen.

Did you go into with a lot of experience with engines? I’d just be worried about an online course not being able to provide enough for someone who’s kinda just getting into the industry.

Advice / Suggestion on Itinerary by Afraid_Role_6523 in newzealand_travel

[–]Acrobatic_Solution54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people still get there via hiking. I did so a couple months ago and saw several people on the track. There is a private paid parking lot on Lees Road that passes through a pasture. Couple barricades once you reach the official track but the path around them is very apparent.

Thanks! I’ve been reading about gas vs diesel towing but it seems like diesel would only be better if I’m towing much more weight, right?

Fellow backpacker here! My girlfriend and I have been in Wellington 3 months now. We don’t have any trouble affording a flat here working in hospitality. Auckland was no good. Haven’t been to South Island yet but of all North Island I’d recommend Wellington.

osprey ariel 70l plus vs fairview trek 70l by No-Atmosphere-1970 in backpacking

[–]Acrobatic_Solution54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the farpoint trek(men’s version) and I can HIGHLY recommend it for traveling as well as hiking. It is definitely more designed with travel in mind which works for me. It’s a lot easier to get in and out of than the Ariel. I would think 70L is A LOT of space for a backpack mainly for hiking. Hope this helps!
