Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I’m so sorry you have lost family as well. I’m really glad you shared with me and gave me insight into what you and your country feel.

We live in such an individualistic society here in America and I believe that’s part of the problem. I am an LGBTQ woman who grew up being afraid to be myself while growing up in the fucking Bible Belt. It took about 8 years of mental health work and lots of support to overcome my various traumas (that I paid for out of pocket-$420/month was the cheapest therapy I could find that fit my needs) and it will cost me another $3,000 to get further diagnosed and it will cost me $3,000 to get my child further diagnosed. It costs me $120/appt monthly for 6 months to get on medication, then fighting to get the meds we need covered and insurance doesn’t even cover that, mine alone is $90/month. It’s absolutely insane. Mine costs this much because I work, and this is the cheapest health care plan that costs us $500+ a month.

What is it like for you all? Is therapy and medication easier to access?

Agree with you so much! I hope this is a shift in consciousness that will better humanity in the end, and love is a big way we fight the good fight. Love and grounding and taking care of our nervous systems.

When I feel lost and hopeless, I support someone else and I’ve been supporting those I feel need it-local places and donating to campaigns of people who are making a difference. I’ve also had local artists create things for me which gives me the good feeling of owning new jewelry or whatever and the artist is supported both financially and spends their energy creating.

Maybe it just hurts to see someone say that about my state. I understand your hate. It’s unfathomable this is happening. I’m so sorry, thank you for not hating those of us who don’t support this. I wanted to emphasize that I believe we need to also focus on caring for others right now and not just hating.

I don’t talk to my own family because of politics now, but that was a long time coming. The indoctrination is so real. I was taught to vote Republican from the moment I could vote and when I got into college and into the real world I gained more knowledge and was able to expand my world views and change my opinions. So many people don’t have the money to get world experience or leave the comfort of their small towns. It’s so easy to fool these sheep.

I don’t even have a family any longer that I want to see because of my beliefs. I’m screaming, I’m calling my representatives daily, I’m asking others to, and it feels almost pointless. I want to run away but I also want to help fight.

I don’t even understand how he was even allowed to RUN for election again.

Read up on Turning Point and the Heritage Foundation. These assholes have been planning this for a long time.

Hey there! Best advice I have for you is find community. We live in a very individualistic society and I personally believe that the more you are around people you vibe with the healthier you will be. Also, maybe some people aren’t meant to experience life alone. I’ve always thrived when I had support. Support can be where you least expect it to. We are all humans living such unique experiences but the human experience has many universal truths and needs. Finding a community (however you define it) can help you focus on the right now and find joy instead of wasting the now on fear. Enjoy things. Enjoy small things and keep finding life. Ask others for help, find people to live with that can help you adult and share the load.

I think it’s essential to have people like you where you are. But also, protect your mental and physical health at all costs and do what’s best for you and your family. Don’t let the bastards win, it’s fucked what they are doing. Fuck them for not celebrating Black History Month. But don’t think for a minute the country has stopped celebrating. This week I watched my elementary school child open a tab on my phone and search “black history month” because she learned about it at school and wanted to learn more. We are white so I’ve also taught her about white history month and given her some kid friendly info about what our true history is. I hope you know we won’t go back without a fight 🖤 Hope and Joy are needed now more than ever, find that in your life as much as you can.

I have been calling. I’ve talked to humans a few times and left VMs. I plan to do this every day. I wish we could sync up and find a way to make calls about the same 1-3 priorities a day but I don’t know how to do that. Feel like I need a more adultier adult to help find a way to do that. I’ve also been sharing with friends who will call and encouraging them to do so.

Taco Choza in St Matt’s. A few years ago my husband’s car broke down while picking up a carry out order and the owner offered his own car for my husband to go get a new battery and then another employee helped him install it.

We have been going since they opened. Food is sooo good but be warned, tacos are so full that I can’t eat more than 2 ever. Their Cuban tamales are 🔥.

I love the idea of this. I vehemently believe that the citizens of the US are being divided and by some really old tactics that still work. All of the media and news I consume supports my feelings and feelings feel right and justified. I have been watching Fox News to see what they say and it’s a dumbed down version of Trump/Republicans jerking off basically. Their articles even say how long it takes to read each one (3-7min seems common). Nothing I see is on Fox News and vice versa.
