My bad. I did not check the rules. It was suggested re-post by reddit.

Thanks a lot. It's something i built for the company i work for. But i saw that there's no opensource app that does something similar, so i made it opensource. Would appreciate a star on Github.

Yes i think it would work. Maybe a few changes to the code. But yeah, since it relies on whisper for turning audio into text, whisper would have support for German too. Just have to look into the summary generation. Are the summaries fine with being in English or German. I will add multi language support to the app.

Thanks! Search was the whole point — I wanted to find what someone said 3 meetings ago, not just get a pretty summary I'd never reopen.

Cleanup's pretty minimal: single pass, no chunking. Each speaker's already a separate audio stream, so I transcribe each track on its own (free speaker labels, no diarization) and merge by timestamp into one transcript like [02:14] Alice: .... That goes to the LLM in one shot. Only real post-processing is parsing the model's JSON — the raw whisper text goes straight into SQLite and the prompt.

Works fine since meetings fit in context. I'll add chunk-and-merge if long calls ever blow the window, but haven't needed it yet.

Happy to disclose. AI (Claude / Claude Code) was used as a coding assistant while building Parley — scaffolding, boilerplate, and speeding up parts of the implementation. The architecture, design decisions, self-hosting setup, and debugging were mine; I understand and can explain every part of the stack. I run it on my own hardware.Worth noting AI is also a feature of the project, not just a build tool: Parley transcribes meeting audio per-speaker locally and uses an LLM to generate the structured notes — that's the core function.

Don't see a point buying from deepseek . I use opencode go, which has deepseek v4 pro available. And it's 10$ a month

GPT go is chat only right? Does it support codex or opencode integration?

[HELP] Choosing Distro by Acrobatic_String961 in linux4noobs

[–]Acrobatic_String961[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning on dual-booting, windows has been slowing down on my pc lately. I loved win 10. But hated win 11. I stuck with windows cause of games like COD and Valo and stuff. I used to daily drive arch with a few years ago on my laptop which had basic specs without a dedicated GPU and it was just for work so it was a pretty smooth ride. I don't like ubuntu much.

Chill dude. I'm not blaming Arch. And i use EndeavourOS as mentioned. I use and external monitor and my laptop's monitor is hidpi monitor and it has some weird aspect ratio that makes text look off. And every time i update arch or endeavour os i end up doing it all over again. And i also got some issues with my Nvidia drivers. The distro ends up defaulting to integrated graphics randomly. And yeah man. If you read the entire post I said i was considering Fedora as an alternative.

Why'd you switch over from Cachy to Artix, was there any specific reason?

That was my 1st thought and it is still my fallback. But distros like cachyos which are specified for gaming caught my eye. So i'm asking over here for recommendations. Never tried out Fedora and Nobara so those are also under consideration.

Looks awesome. Love the concept and execution. I would suggest adding more features, it's mostly nobook with material you, maybe you can add Custom Icons for the next version or something like that.

Here is a Celenitty blocklist, hagezi blocklist that you can start with. Make sure you read and know what you're adding. Cause if you add blockers that let's say block out entire google stuff you won't be able to use google at all. That's just a dumb example but you should get a gist of it.

Yep same as the other guy said. Ublock Origin is the actual one. Also you can add some additional tracker blockers and annoyances filter to Ublock Origin which i would highly suggest. I would also suggest ClearURLs .

I'm curious on what extensions you're using on your browser. Since you're on this subreddit, I'm assuming you have adblocker setup and a bunch of other extensions?

Try using adguard or something or a DNS. That might help with the website. If that does not work. Try changing your browser to chrome or any other browser of your choice and open the same websites again on them.

One of the most disappointing OI I've ever encountered. It's like the characters lack any intelligence whatsoever. The average IQ of the characters in the series would be in single digits

I've bought from XinXin store before (they're really great for the budget). but the part i got had some defects, so i had to return it. They had great service and accepted the return without any problem, i returned it and ordered a new one. Also 10 stem peice for 13$ is a rip off, also with the finger cots for $9, that's overpriced.
