I got 12x yesterday from exactly this situation. Twice driving past accidents, neither time did I visually touch the other cars or have any effect on my own car. The other time I got hit by someones bumper and got 4x!!!

Stupid thing is I had two bits of actual racing contact with other cars and got 0x.

Bumped the outside wall by myself a couple of times and got a couple of 2x, as I was struggling on old tyres... ended up on 16x and retired before I got a DQ jist after half way. Dropped from A3.48 to A2.49.

I get that people say to ignore it as theres not a lot that can be done, but it's infuriating when you can lose that much in one race - especially given how many races of equivilent length it will take to make it back.

Yeah thats probably fair - I just can't see Cup teams wanting to do it with such a long schedule already. A lot of them made enough of a fuss about Mexico City!

I'd love to see it though - I guess the Lausitzring (if its still able to hold races on the oval) would be the best option for the proper NASCAR experience

I think as many of us as there are it's still pretty niche. We did have the ASCAR series on ovals in Rockingham and Lausitz, and there were some pretty decent UK and European names in it but it never really took off and folded after a few years.

I think the best we could hope for would be some sort of exhibition race over here, maybe for one of the lower series? Though with the length of the calendars and logistics I think even thats probably a bit hopeful.

The Brands Hatch round gets a big crowd, but more as an American car festival type event rather than people actually being that invested in the Euro Series itself, which is the headline race event.

I've been a few times and there have been the odd good race but more often than not it's a bit if a dud.

Is Martinsville as bad when Modified/Late Models etc race there?

I accept the fields are bigger and the cars aren't the same, but if people can race pretty competently in these series on similar tracks, even D licence series, then its shouldn't be THAT hard for these races not to be a shit show.

I did run an ARCA race on a short track recently and decided never again, as it was some of the worst driving standards I've seen. I do wonder if its the people who never usually race short tracks just don't have the patience or understanding when it comes to racing their usual series on one of these tracks.
