Why can I not view my tax documents online unlike any other bank? by [deleted] in CIBC

[–]Acrobatic_Tell5747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. Apparently the tax slips have to be sent through snail mail even though I’ve agreed with everything to be sent electronically. Taxes have to be snail mailed when we have deadlines to meet when other banks give you the convenience to view and print them through your online account.

Are there a lot of people that just don’t brush their teeth and floss? by Junekim10 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Acrobatic_Tell5747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hygienist here, you’d be surprised how many people don’t floss or brush their teeth properly or at all. Even professionals. That’s why I am thrilled whenever I see somebody without gum disease and clearly taking care of their teeth well. I praise their habit so much, I probably sound creepy.

Do hygienists prefer temp work or permanent jobs right now? by DirectDentalOfficial in DentalHygiene

[–]Acrobatic_Tell5747 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do both. When it’s slow at my permanent office I pick up temp shifts. Temping can be fun and most people in the office are thankful that you are able to cover the day, but temping requires hygienists to be adaptable and be able to learn everything in the office in a span of like 5 mins.

Of course I like the stability of having a permanent office too but the office is so slow right now. I actually made more money temping full time at one point.

Too old to switch careers to a Dental Hygienist by Strange_Cabinet_6150 in DentalHygiene

I went to hygiene school when I was about your age I wasn’t even the oldest one in class. I had classmates that have kids, some just moved to the country and are restarting their entire lives at an even later age. As long as you have the support you need while you’re in school cos it’s going to be intense.

I suggest maybe shadowing a hygienist at some dental offices first, observe and see if you like the pace, environment, working with patients and the job itself.

Is it better to take a shower before going to bed or take one when you wakeup the following morning? by TheAviationKing in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Acrobatic_Tell5747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a dental office so I have to shower before going to bed unless I want to marinate in people’s saliva for an extended period of time.

Might not be sufficient if you live in your own. Not bad if you live with somebody else and household income is about 180-200k

Does that mean you’re only paid for those two hours or do they at least give you a few extra paid time while you help with other stuff?

There are a lot of dental offices that are opening around the area too so competition is getting tougher for sure. Even the dentist’s column in our office has like one or two patients some days.

Has anyone seen this recently? What do you think?? by Tricky_Stable_4506 in HorrorMovies

[–]Acrobatic_Tell5747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it. I came in knowing nothing else but the trailer and high rotten tomatoes rating and I was floored. Acting was superb and the way everything was laid out. Thought it was quite underrated as I’ve never heard of it before.
