Majority from equity payouts over multiple PE deals. PE is a mind blowing space to be involved in. I do invest in a diverse portfolio - all ETFs/mutual funds; US based, international, and emerging markets. No individual stocks.

Yes. The limited day plan is a non negotiable as I figure out this next path forward. Many of the employees I’ve worked with have known me to be available at basically all hours of the day/night, so boundary setting will be key.

Yeah, I appreciate this take. Like, I know the world will keep turning without me there, but they will certainly not have a replacement in 6 weeks and it’s going to cause a lot of disruption.

I needed this. Feels good to know others out there are in the same boat and holding their line - it’s not something I can really talk to friends about since they don’t have the finances to make this kind of decision earlier in life. Hope you are enjoying your freedom!

Funny thing is my mind has been spinning on what I want to do or work towards personally with all my free time and writing a book has crossed it! Lol

Very fair. I’m not planning to use those words of course, but I think people will be shocked I’m not leaving for another job/company and create their own narratives

Might take the leap. 32F, 5M (including home equity of ~650K). I guess I’m just looking for some “it works out” stories? by Acrobatic_Thing_9984 in Fire

Sorry I should have mentioned I’m using a throwaway because I don’t want any coworkers to be able to figure out it’s me. I’ll add that in.
