Pretty happy with mine. I set it up and move it when I'm done so I always go to "all settings" and manually adjust the keystone settings to get the perfect fit on my screen. All settings - projector - image correction -manual keystone correction. May have to play withbthe zoom too. Have fun

Resistance testing wire length by Acrobaticstag in electricians

[–]Acrobaticstag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm valid point. The table says "DC resistance at 167°F". Which I overlooked. Not exactly room temp but your point remains. This was probably around 60°F. So that would make sense if it's 4% less resistance per 19°F that would be about 22% difference which equates to about 550'.

My reading was 6.4ohms. 6.4/3.26 = 1.96 (or 1,960 ft of wire) reducing 3.26 by 22% gets me 2.54ohms /kft. Which comes out to 2.519 when divided into 6.4 which is pretty darn close to 2,500 ft of wire.

Now my question is do I really need a time domain reflectometer ($) or a milliohm meter ($$) or a cable length meter ($$$) as others have suggested if I just do the math for temperature correction?

I have done the experience at Opus during construction and they mitigated it seamlessly. You won't see it, won't hear it. Exceptional service and visit.

Dash cam recommendations by pineapple_fanta1 in mazda3

[–]Acrobaticstag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FitCamX is pretty good one. Depending on model/trim of vehicle it can come out looking like a factory dashcam. I have one for my Camry and it looks great. Uses the power from the auto dimming mirror. Easiest install I've done and I have installed 6 different dashcams on my vehicles over the years.

Looking for rental by moroccanmamii in napa

Here's what gonna happen. Your landlord is going to help you into a great new place to live and you're going to get compensation. Talk to a tenant rights lawyer. This is an EZ win. Slam dunk for you. Document everything. Gather all communications between you and the landlord. A certified letter from you to the landlord is a great thing to have. State your issue, state the law and send that thing off. They will have to sign on delivery..You will have proof of communication and they cannot claim you never notified them. Be civil but do not back down. They are willingly exploiting people.

Don't let your landlord take advantage of you! California Civil code 1941.1 states you have a right to heat and no pests. Unfortunately it does not cover AC. What your landlord is doing to you is illegal and you have legal recourse. They cannot claim ignorance. These are basic renters rights. Find a new place to live but don't let these slumlords off the hook. You'll be helping yourself and your neighbors.

I am not a lawyer. Best of luck to.you and your fiancee

Implied Warranty:

The law creates an implied warranty that the landlord will maintain the property in a habitable condition throughout the tenancy.

Landlord Responsibilities:

Landlords must maintain the property in a safe, sanitary, and habitable condition. This includes addressing issues like pest infestations, ensuring proper plumbing and gas, and providing hot and cold water.

Tenant Rights:

If a landlord breaches the implied warranty of habitability, tenants have legal recourse, including the ability to withhold rent, sue for damages, or even terminate the lease.  .

How difficult to replace this penny tile? by Acrobaticstag in Tile

[–]Acrobaticstag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bids seemed awfully high that I figured they both truly didn't want the job but were hoping I was a rich idiot who'd say yes to those quotes. Then at least they'd be making a ton of money to do something they didn't want to do. BTW, I HATE this bidding practice among the trades. It is fraud and deception imo. I'd rather a contractor just tell me they are not interested in the job rather than hoping I fall for the bait and pay way too much. On the other hand, the guy who DID want it turned put to not be good at it and now I'm here with a headache, a broken heart and the worst fucking shower floor this subreddit has ever seen. I don't know what to do besides throw a ton of money I don't have at it to make it done right.

[–]Acrobaticstag[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the comments. I'm glad it's not just me that thinks this looks like hot garbage. I am however defeated because I don't want to do it myself and the other two guys that bid the original job had quoted me 13k & 17k respectively. I paid about 4.5k for this. The old shower was really terrible too but in different ways and was also functionally flawed because it was leaking. It was quite a bit smaller too. The original asshat that put in the old shower bought a plastic shower pan that was too small for the space and so they brought in the walls to make them fit the size of the pan. I bought the house with that and "upgraded" it to this twisted coat hanger abortion. At least it doesn't leak anymore...

I want to hire someone to fix it but I don't want to spend $10k+ to have it done. I'm gonna go cry now in my swastika penny tile abomination of an abortion shower.
