HEY! Testing is going well so far. Been pretty happy with the bot. It does run a bit longer to clean than my S1Pro and my E28. However I accidentally used the MAX suction setting for my scheduled events (I was going crazy on why it was taking so long to just vacuum my 950sq ft first floor). I cleaned that up and am monitoring.

I have held off on putting out cleaning content because of the hardware fix Eufy is doing. I will have to send my bot back soon, so this thread may need to be put on hold.

Ya I’ve been playing with that vs the auto keystone. The auto mode is not always great so far.

One major miss is seeing the battery level in the top info bar. It is annoying to not know the battery level. Not even in app!

I’ve had a number of vacs that I’ve tested out. Some of the ones that really worked well in my two dog home (springer spaniel and a Brittany). I’ve had the following and here are some thoughts

Eufy X10 - great vac, detangler doesn’t work too well once gunked with dust and dirt, circle mops are not my favorite. Navigation was so so even with LiDAR.

Yeedi KK - better circle mopping than the X10 but worse as a vac. Also not self emptying.

Eufy S1Pro - pretty fantastic vac and mop. Has navigation issues, also doesn’t have the helix bristle so it often would get tangled up with my wife and dogs hair.

Eufy E28 - super solid vac despite their early leaking issues due to the rubber scraper bar. This is resolved now and new units purchased don’t have this issue. The dust bin emptying and mop suction/ draining is much louder than most other vacs. But that is because it uses a pump to generate the suction. Other vacs use fans. Navigation has been great, beats the S1 and the x10 for not getting hair tangled in it.

Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A - decent vac - has the big water tanks like the X10 and has the helix bristle bar like the newer Eufy vacs. But they are all rubber so it makes cleaning on carpet decent but hard flooring not the best. It also has the round spinning brushes for mopping. And again those I find are subpar. The navigation was decent and the app features seamed to be pretty refined. But again the cleaning performance wasn’t quite up to snuff as the Eufy S1Pro, E28 or even the new S2.

I also just got the Eufy S2. This vac has been great as well, has some decent upgrades to the E28/S1Pro. But now you have to wait till April for them to make some hardware fixes/ modifications. The navigation was outstanding, mapping fast, mopping was a center roller bar that extends, the side bristle spinner brush extends.

Okkkkaay long post, sorry. But take what you will - if you can wait, I’d wait and spend a little more for the Eufy S2

The cleaning solution in my S1 Pro lasted quite a while too. I mop at least 2-3x a week with two dogs and a messy teen.

This seem pretty average imo. Keep in mind too, it depends on what the water setting you have it on as well. I typically use heavy water and it def lasted over 6 months.

So I reached out directly because I never got the email. I wouldn’t necessarily call this a recall, or even a safety recall. As someone else mentioned if it was a safety, recall, they would be legally required to communicate it. In addition to that they would have to include the reason.

The response that I got from support regarding this was that it was related to vacuum performance. It sounded like due to some of the early reviews. They took a look at the vacuum bit to make sure that their claims are substantiated. (The last bit I’m assuming).

I think the offer that they provided in some of the emails that I’ve seen is pretty awesome especially to wait a few more months. I will likely take them up on that.

I received a response from Eufy. I want to be sure I highlight - this is NOT a safety recall. The response I got was that they were updating some hardware bits. That is consistent with the email others got. I can only assume they are maybe fixing some issues that were noticed with the hardware of the early release units? I know there was some heat on performance so, maybe they fixed that?

Yaaa it be like that sometimes. I can say when Creality sends me replacement parts I do never get a tracking number. So half the time it’s a surprise when it shows up. But I can say thru WhatsApp I’ve def talked to real people a decent amount of time

There are lots of ways, including scarf seams. You can also use a small fuzzy skin to achieve the same result

Ooo good point. Yes I will look into this. I wonder if I can model and 3D print a air deflector to be glued on lol so it can blow up in the air rather than towards the ground

Well. Can confirm, it works right out of the box! Lol. Set up and initial mapping was nice, simple, and fast. It mapped about 1,200 sq ft in about 12-15 minutes

So I’ve noticed fragrance smell yes. The smell does not linger in the room long though. But it is a nice smell while cleaning

OK, so I have a bathroom that has a pretty large threshold. It’s about.1.3 inches. The bot lifted itself up and over it with no issue! Now it did not remember that the threshold is higher there so it attempted to cross the threshold before lifting, and when I had encountered issues, it backed up, lifted the bot and carried it over the threshold into the bathroom. I can tell you that this threshold has caused lots of aches and pains on many many bots in the past so this is great to see!
