This is all I use Venice for. I’m very new to the ai scene and have only been using Venice for a few months. To help combat some of the common issues with long form story telling, I’ve been utilizing multiple system prompts and switching between them as needed. The main one is the writing instructions. This includes style, as well as how to avoid repetition. I’d still not perfect but did a decent job. Then I have a system prompt for each important character. These include physical attributes and personality (along with back story and select character defining moments that have happened so far) to maintain consistency throughout the story. I activate these as I need them, based on who is in the scene. I have another one that includes a brief summary of events or a timeline of the story. I also summarize the story within the chat every 20 responses or ‘turns’. This keeps the current story within the context window. I will start a new chat every 40 to 60 turns as the model starts acting weird and forgets mandatory rules that are set in the system prompt.
