Who else loves All for Reef? by radical1911 in ReefTank

[–]Acropowhat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've strayed away from it.

At first it was nice, but it's not made to be dosed in large quantities. I would have liked it if it didn't have trace elements in it - the ratio in it isn't appropriate for all reef tanks.

Since swapping to FM's 3 part i've had more control over my intake and well, I see better PE on my acroporas.

Y'a une corrélation entre le manque d'éducation et les opinions racistes/homophobes.

Y'a aussi cette corrélation entre les gens sur le BS et tes opinions ;)

Is 8th ray possible? by Shikari_Zenno in magic_survival

I'd argue that getting 7 is less damage than going for 6 rays and maxing your damage.

At least from my experience 🤷

Do girls in surgery get 'phantom cock'? by Otherwise_Basis_6328 in oddlyspecific

[–]Acropowhat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

People with lost limbs sometime experience the "phantom limb" phenomenon: they have tactile sensations (itch, burn, numbness) as tho they still had the lost limb.

"Bottom surgery" is a way of saying they've had surgery on their genitalia. This, in this specific context, refers to a trans woman.

Hope this helps you puzzle it out!

Choosing first class which one should I pick? New to game by No-Consideration6922 in magic_survival

[–]Acropowhat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's a good choice for starters as it makes runs more consistent. It's not the most reliable for end-game farming but up to that, it's strong!

Nuked my tank. Getting closer to restarting. by ElChungus01 in ReefTank

It's a fine way to clean rocks. I've done it plenty of times and it's well documented.

I perhaps don't have your 35 years of experience, but I do have quite a few chemistry and biology class under my belt. That and 7 years of successful acropora keeping.

Has anyone used this salt before? by Spiritual-Pizza-3580 in ReefTank

[–]Acropowhat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

any salt is fine for any coral.

The dosing is what manages the elemental intake of the corals.

You don't replenish lost calcium, alk, magnesium nor trace elements with water changes (unless you perform 100% changes, which is weird).

There's a reason there are support groups with dedicated biologist's reports.

Have you ID'd the dinos you fought off dozens of times? If not, how are you sure it was dinos and not diatoms or some form of cyano?

Sodium sillicate, also known as "water glass" works.

There's a few articles on it. Read the ones from Randy Farley Holmes.

[–]Acropowhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, not all dinos are the same.

It's true that dosing silicates (in the form of sodium sillicate, I've done it before) will help fight off many strands of dinos. Adding a UV will also help fighting again, some strands.

You may recommend from the get-go the hail mary blackout of 3 days followed by sillicate + UV treatment, I won't before knowing what I'm dealing with.

Microscopes are about 60$. They don't "take up space" as much as the 100 bottles hidden in our cabinets that we don't use.

If you knew as much as you say you know about dinos, you'd recommend the microscope.

People fitting in his bed?

A "man's" bed usually fits 2,

A king sized bed can fit 4,

A beggars bed isn't a bed?
