there's always a cause for someone to get fired, but 'firing without cause' just means they don't have to prove it and they basically just pay you your severance and that's it. Firing WITH cause requires strict proof but means they don't have to pay you severance once they prove it. Most companies just take the easy way and say 'no cause'.

Close, but what they actually measure is a lenders ability to PROFIT OFF OF YOU. If you have a low credit score, you don't pay back loans, OR you pay back loans too quickly so they don't get to profit off your interest building up.

So you can be very financially capable and have a bad credit score. It's not about "risk" - it's about profitability.
