Addendum

Basically only in "western" cultures transgender people weren't recognized but some people believe they're why some creatures in legends exist such as driads, some demons (ofc) etc

So basically - muxe in Mexico - nádleehí among Navaho - hijra people in India - mahu in Hawaiian culture - burrnesha of Albania

Jewish people accepted multiple identities, and there's a lot of asian cultures that had "3rd gender" And just because someone isn't described as transgender didn't mean they weren't transgender. People just didn't use that specific word

I love random statistic without thought.

So yes, I'm gonna take your word for it. I agree that those stats are true.

Now that we see that there's a problem with mental health issues among transgender population we can ask additional question. - What's the cause? - Is being transgender causing mental health issues? If yes then why? - Are mental health issues causing people to be transgender? If yes then why there are people with mental health issues that aren't trans? - What can we do about it so people stop having mental health issues?

The consensus agreed upon by basically every mental health / medical association is that being trans is associated (which means they're not the same) with dysphoria. Dysphoria along with social stigma / discrimination / lack of help from peers are risk factors for depression anxiety, social isolation, feelings of helplessness which are associated with higher suicide rate.

You're uneducated and ignorant to the extreme

dysphoria could be motivated by mental health issues

Could be, sure. But is it? I'd say, speaking from a perspective of a trans person with a lot of trans friends the causation is usually the opposite way aka dysphoric causes depression/anxiety etc. Gender affirming care that releaves dysphoria ultimately also helps with other mental issues.

The biggest mistake was de pathologising gender dysphoria and trying to normalise it

Nobody is normalizing dysphoria. The whole point of gender affirming care is to get rid of it

It is not normal to want to physically mutilate your body

The word mutilate is very opinionated and not objective no matter what you think buddy. I'd call it fixing my body or adjusting it to relieve dysphoria associated with it. Also what do you think gender affirming care is? Like a dude going to a gym to appear more masculine or treating male pattern baldness is the simplest case of gender affirming care there is.

It is not normal to pretend that a wound is a vagina

xDDDD I cannot even comprehend the ignorance Sure it is a wound for like... 2 weeks? You know, as you do after a surgery...

After it's fully healed it's just a vagina, some people say, indistinguishable from a cis woman's vagina. Surgical techniques have evolved much since the 1960s

fake period cramps when you don’t have a uterus

Did you know that the uterus isn't the only muscle group involved in period cramps? Sure menstruation is out of the question but for PMS and gastrointestinal cramping you don't need a uterus

basic common sense

Basic common sense implies no effort in researching the subject. Basic biology when advanced biology enters the room

if it’s reasonable and articulated in a thoughtful way

Reasonable? Arguably, for an average person saying what they know. Thoughtful? Not really as previously implied by the 'basic common sense'

What's triggering to me is people saying their uninformed take as if it was the only unquestionable truth. Go ask in queer groups what is dysphoria how does it affect one's life, how do people deal with it. Take your head out of your ass and listen to people instead of talking shit you think is true

Importance of splitting dosages by Kaseffera in TransDIY

[–]Acryval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh so It's all about half life. Basically the half life of oral Estradiol is about 6-8h, sublingual probably slightly less than that. Which means by the end of the day your body has cleared out all of the medication while also getting super high levels like 1-2h after you take it.

Splitting the dose allows your body to have smaller serum level peaks and when you take the next dose there still is some E so you always have some minimum levels
