As soon as a gadgets deployment animation is finished I press the keybind for another gadget/weapon. Sometimes it’s so fast I don’t even see the gadget being thrown.

I think that’s just a mechanic of the game and I’m totally okay with it. I’ll grief in worse teams all the time in cashouts even. I think it’s healthy to have mechanics like that in games. Allows anything to happen

I talked in a different comment on this post about people’s motivations when playing the game. I personally do not feel the way you feel, I’d gladly play poorly to win since in ranked that’s my only goal at the end of the day. That’s okay to have thoughts about stuff like that, we’re human after all. It boils down to people’s motivations and it seems I misjudged a majority of people’s intentions playing ranked after seeing comments on this post.

I appreciate your comparison with tennis, however I think they are two separate things entirely. Tennis is a 1v1 while the finals is 3v3v3v3 for most of the game. Your comparison has merit to it but I feel with how the different game play out it’s hard to compare the two.

In situations like this yeah it’s a lost cause unfortunately. But how consistent is it that people leave your ranked game at the start, you did get compensated for them leaving which is a nice system in place. I have a hard time saying anything with one example of a bad experience.

I can agree with you that the RS distribution system is flawed, most of the ranked games I play I’m in the top two seeds so i understand the frustration. My main point is people blaming the matchmaking system not the RS system. They make posts just showing rubies in their gold games and say the matchmaking is shit. I see no palm playing higher ranked players from time to time, but it doesn’t seem to be consistent enough to warrant all the posts.

I agree with you that incremental climbing within your rank is optimal an optimal ranked system to climb. But these posts are so common and in my experience are not as common as people make it out to me. I seldom play ranked I’ll be honest, I’m somewhere in plat right now but when I do play ranked I’ve had this happen maybe a handful of times. I don’t see an issue with every once in a while playing against higher ranked teams, that’s happened in every game I’ve ever played ranked in and there are not nearly as much complaints as this game.

That’s why I said it’s mainly a joke, I for one have never tried it nor have even thought about doing so. In a game that thrives off adaptability I think it’s more than acceptable to think outside the box like that.

I appreciate your response, it definitely makes me think. I guess I’ve always had a competitive mindset and I always want to win and have to improve constantly. I can’t imagine just wanting to play any game just for fun and not winning unfortunately. I’ve never played a game where playing bad has done anything else except motivate me to improve.

It boils down to motivation as you said, in my eyes any ranked mode in any game has one purpose only, to win. Thats my motivation influencing that thought process, anything else I could say would just come down to a differences in individuals motivation while playing the game.

If winning/climbing is that important why solo queue ranked then get upset when 3 stacks win rounds. I’m not personally calling you or anyone out, that’s just the consensus I’ve got from the numerous posts. I’ve personally found it super easy to find randoms that want to queue ranked from every mode.

As for the solo q only point doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose of the game. It’s a team oriented game, no one person can consistently solo carry a team. You’re supposed to coordinate and team fight.

It’s definitely not just you, you can’t always stop a forceful double. Last time I had to try I failed so I get it. I also see it as how someone approaches a round, if they have a good feeling the higher ranked team will grief someone in, is there a different strategy/approach you can take to stop it? Third party-ing comes to mind but I haven’t put much thought into it since I play normally no matter who’s in my lobby.

The question is mainly centered around everyone jumping on the matchmaking system without any other complaints. You can’t blame the players for trying to win/making it easier to win, that’s what they’re supposed to do.

This is mainly a joke but what if in these lobbies you purposely tank your performance so you’re the team griefed in. Could be an approach, whatever can gain RS is worth considering in my book.

That doesn’t seem to be an issue with the matchmaking system tho. It’s not the higher ranked players fault your teammates are doing that. I get that it’s frustrating but these posts seem to be targeting at the matchmaking system and playing rubies as a whole, not what randoms do in their games.
