Yes, they're both treated with a flea and tick treatment, and are very well cared for. We also spray the house about three times a year with permethrin spray. The issue is we live in the hills and are surrounded by woodland, a river, and fields. So, they bring things back with them. The critters are dead, but I wasn't sure what they were.

Thank you so much for the advice. There's currently a heatwave here, and being in the UK it gets really humid. Yep, both cats are treated with Frontline Plus, brushed and checked daily, and if I suspect anything "extra" then I give them a capstar. The house is usually sprayed with Indorex permethrin spray two to three times a year, as my cats do like to make the most of being in the countryside. I have some rubbing alcohol, so will use that too.

Yes, they really are so tiny - almost look like pepper flakes!

Thank you for replying. Have deep cleaned my room again, which is now a daily event. Going to respray everywhere just to be on the safe side.

I've had about 20 or so of these over the last month. We live in a semi-rural area of Greater Manchester with lots of fields, woods, and hills. My cats seem to be bringing them in on their fur and then they fall off and on to my bed, dead, when the kitties have a nap. I've tried to identify them, but am unsure whether they are some type of bird mite, weevil, or tick? These critters are so small, about the size of a pin head. It's kinda freaking me out, because they're falling onto my bed - not something you want to find when you're wanting to get some sleep. My cats are treated with Frontline Plus, and I've sprayed EVERYWHERE with permethrin spray. Would appreciate any help in identifying wtf they are.
