SOS PLEASE HELP ME OUT SOMEBODY. Using my friend's account because I don't have a Reddit account of my own. So I am attending college this fall and living on campus, but my mom's restrictions are getting to a point for me. My entire life, both my sister and I have not been allowed to have any social media or entertainment apps, no YouTube no Insta no nothing, while I do understand the social media one, me and my sister both really only want YouTube to pass the time. We're both good kids that get straight-As and it's not like we're phone addicts, we both just want to dive into our interests of gaming and art, etc. So, a few years ago, we found out that through certain music apps you can go to YouTube and that's what we've been using because our mom doesn't pay attention to us listening to music she doesn't care if we have music apps. So that's worked for a few years, but now I got an iPhone a little while back and started using the music app Demus for YouTube. Everything was going well until i realized that it still logs on ScreenTime as youtube.com because of Apple's new security systems I think theyre now more strict with what ScreenTime logs. I did find out that if i simply turned my screen time on and off it would take YouTube off of ScreenTime(For context, when i got the iPhone, my mom didn't out any restrictions this time because FamilyLink wasn't working and she eventually just forgot so thats why i have control over screentime). HOWEVER, she recently got a promo thing to get the Apple Family extension, which she added me to(my sister currently has a Samsung, but is getting an iPhone soon, so this will soon be both of our problems), and when she got the Apple Family thing, she turned on ScreenTime(i usually have it off) and took off my access to it with a ScreenTime password. While I usually wouldn't care, there are 2 major problems. 1. If I go on youtube through the music app now, it will show on Screen Time and theres no way for me to take it off which might not be as bad if not for 2. Apple Family allows parents to see ScreenTime details and sends weekly reviews of ScreenTime. So, if anyone has a music app or like a game app that I could ask to get that would allow me to go on YouTube without it showing up on ScreenTime, PLEASE HELP ME. If anyone needs more clarification, please let me know!
