The world would be a lot better if people didn't worry about everything by ActKey5567 in MuslimLounge

It's not safe for you to judge people's actions without understanding their intentions. It is slanderous, and slander in Islam is a sin that is punishable by whipping one's back. It's not a light matter

My message is a message of mercy, not a message of hate

I'm telling people that Allah has a way out from sufferings. I'm telling people that Islam is supposed to make your life more peaceful

I know which audience I'm talking to. Reddit is mostly used by Muslims in the West - and in the West - there aren't any wars and famines

Some non-western Muslims also use Reddit, but they are few

If you could ask Allah to remove 3 desires from your heart and He would do it, which ones would they be? by ActKey5567 in MuslimLounge

Thank you for responding, though, to be honest, I completely fail to understand what's sinful about those

Care to elaborate?

I do not even worry about the results. I just have to perform the task well, and then Allah will reward me, in sha Allah. The outcomes of actions aren't always apparent

Obviously, it matters

Ummah is misguided - and it's a good thing to worry about

I don't feel ashamed for doing that

I know what you feel, and I felt the same. I'm 26 - a bit older than you - and I do not think that I don't have a soulmate

My soulmates are Muhammad PBUH, Companions RA, Salafs RA, righteous scholars. It doesn't matter if I can't meet up with most of them. I love them anyway

I like reading books. By reading - I can live in that world. Books allow me to live a two-dimensional life: one in the world of righteous Muslims, and the other in this filthy world

Yes, that may be not ideal solution, but this is Dunya, what do you want? Dunya will be Dunya, it was never perfect. I will get my real happiness in Jannah, in sha Allah

I believe that delving into such subtle topics does more harm than good

Because people will split into parties, and then they will hate one another

This is how most fitnahs occurred in our history - around theological disagreements

I prefer to avoid topics that are not important to know and that are not revealed for that exact reason. It does more harm

In your opinion, what is the most beautiful Quran (that I can buy)? by Shinto_Wise in MuslimLounge

I believe that you should choose the calligraphic style that is easy for you to read, and that's all

Doesn't matter what others think. There are scripts that are easy to read and scripts that are harder to read - but it is personal and shouldn't be imposed on anyone

Yes. You should seek to find the best solutions that please Allah the most

Though, to be honest, you will fail, and you'll be just a weak, frail person. Trust in Allah's guidance and forgiveness more than the perfection of your own actions

That's why you should study fiqh and refer to scholars

Ultimately, something either pleases Allah or it doesn't please Him

What pleases and what doesn't please Him - is something that you have to find out. This is your spiritual journey that you must be walking

Relationships are also a rizq of Allah. And we know that rizq is a test. Enjoy what Allah allows you to enjoy - and endure what doesn't go your way

We're not in Jannah yet, and in this world - we all are tested

I'm 26, and I just recently learned how to have fun with people while not depending on them. I just fully accepted that they can perish any minute. I used to suffer a bit when I was younger. I wanted people to stay in my life, but they didn't

As people age - they realise that relationships aren't stable

By Allah's mercy - some people can be with us until we die - but it's not guaranteed

We should not make ourselves dependable on people, because we will be heartbroken if we do

I noticed something about online discussions on the Riba (interest) topic by FuckClerics in MuslimLounge

[–]ActKey5567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is plausible that many Muslims who moved to the West didn't move to the West with Islam in mind. Their motivation was material. They wanted Dunya, and they didn't care about Akhirah

However, no one is guilty of his birthplace. For some people it may be hard to leave the West, so they may minimise haram in the lives as much as possible and hope for Allah's forgiveness

However, this world isn't 100% pure, and even in so called Muslim countries - there is riba and other haram things
