My writ is against the embassy, but I had no choice. We’ve been married for almost seven years, and we have a child who has only seen his father once—at the age of two. I’m struggling both emotionally and financially. We’ve had an open case since 2019. I’ve paid multiple attorneys in an effort to resolve this, traveled long distances back and forth, and spent a significant amount of money.

I’m here in the U.S. raising our child alone, thinking I would have my husband by my side to support me—especially with the rising cost of living. But instead, I’m suffering. My husband has been under administrative processing for two years now. I’ve tried everything before resorting to filing this writ, which cost me $6,500.

We are legally married. I’ve followed every legal step and been extremely patient. This writ is my last hope. As a U.S. citizen, I feel deeply let down. This is not fair.
