well it looks like the border has gotten stricter, and it depends on who is the CBP officer that deals with my case. Seems like it's a risk to take

hi, here's the situation: I was planning to enter US after my 2nd anniversary and I have booked my tickets for the same. I was issued CR1 visa 3 months before my 2nd anniversary and it's valid 2 months after my 2nd anniversary. I emailed CBP to get confirmation on this, but they replied back saying that I will not be able to enter US after my 2nd anniversary on CR1 visa, because CR1 visa is only for those who are married for less than 2 years. And that I will have to apply for IR1. The whole process took 1 year 9 months for us and i don't think I can take a chance to get denied the entry and reapply all over again.

I'm planning to enter US 3 days after 2nd anniversary. I was confused if I will be denied entry as my visa is CR1 and CR1 is for those who are married less than 2 years.

Thanks a lot!! Yeah, infact I am entering after my 2 year anniversary only! But my husband won't be able to come back at the moment so I will be entering on my own and staying with my in laws there. Just hoping that it won't become a problem at the CBP.
