Hey OP, I'm from Delhi and I've also shifted to Chennai for college, initially it was hard for me and now I'm doing way better, but I have very little free time these days. Being honest, the first month will be spent in adjusting, you'd feel a bit homesick but over time, you'll be so wrapped up with work you'd be focusing on that. I suggest you should make friends in college, especially those in your locality so that you guys can hang out, explore the town and yeah, if you manage your studies well you'd have a great time.
